What are
the advantages of sublingual (under the tongue) delivery?
a. The Lipigesic™ M, Lipigesic™ PM and Lipigesic™
H are non-prescription, liquid medications that are formulated
for absorption under-the tongue. This type of delivery is known
as “sublingual.” Unlike the majority of pills and
medications absorbed through the stomach, PuraMed products are
placed and absorbed directly under the tongue. Advantages of the
sublingual dispensing of drugs and medications include faster
acting absorption for quick relief, improved efficacy, less stomach
upset, and fewer side effects. The use of sublingual delivery
provides fast relief for whatever ailment or condition is being
treated.
b. The second advantage of sublingual absorption is that dosing
the drug under your tongue bypasses the “first pass effect”.
The “first pass effect” refers to the neutralizing
effect the stomach and liver have on medicines that are dosed
orally. Larger doses of drugs are required for orally ingested
pills and liquids because the stomach and liver will breakdown
a significant percentage of the drug before it can be absorbed
into the bloodstream. Since sublingual absorption bypasses the
stomach and liver, it maintains the effectiveness of a smaller
dose of
the drug.

manufacturers, PuraMed is convinced it can obtain professional
and timely production, packaging and delivery of all PuraMed products.
PuraMed believes this structure will significantly reduce the
developmental- stage costs and developmental time related to launching
each PuraMed product
commercially.
